Passion and love for the earth

Organic and biodynamic farming.

Podere Sant’Antonio is part of Amico Bio, a large company owned by Amico brothers that produces and markets organic and biodynamic fruit and vegetables in Capua, in the province of Caserta, in the heart of the fertile Campania Felix, as the land close to Mount Tifata as was called by Cicero in Roman antiquity.

Amico Bio specialises in horticultural production and grows lettuces, kohlrabi, rocket, cut lettuces for IV gamma on about 500 ha, 100 of which are in greenhouses: fennel, radicchio, cabbage, spinach, escarole, chard, pumpkins, durum wheat, soft wheat, hazelnuts, walnuts on about 120 ha in the open.

The processing and packaging of the products also takes place in the two post-harvest warehouses in Capua (CE) and Vitulazio (CE), the former for the packaging of the I series products and the latter for the IV series products.

Podere Sant’Antonio aims to differentiate agricultural production, while maintaining the organic and biodynamic approach, through the cultivation of typical varieties of the Sienese soil, such as olive trees with its 750 plants currently in production and the 8 hectares of vineyard to be planted between 2023 and 2024. The cultivation of cereals such as durum or soft wheat, barley or spelt, as well as legumes, will also be the basis for the rotational production of the approximately 60 hectares of arable land.

The daily quality control of the goods, both in the field and at post-harvest in the warehouses, has led to the Amico Bio Group being a leader in organic and biodynamic agriculture in Italy today.
